Funeral Photography

We offer a very professional discreet funeral photography service where we try and blend in with the rest of the mourners there. We have had some amazing feedback from many a vicars and celebrants as at first they were concerned but after they were full of praise for us.

We use very high end, expensive high quality professional stills cameras that are ‘Silent shutters’ so you don’t hear any clicking. We bring 2 for safety

Location Church or Crematorium

location photos - small amount mourner arrivals from a distance - cortege arrivals - service - departure if Church

Burial - If the Funeral Service is in a Church, Chapel or other then often we are asked to photograph the burial. We would try get there before the cortege where possible to film the arrivals and the burial. Once again this is a very sensitive part of the day where we are very discreet and professional

The wake reception - location - various shots of people - various shots of personalised items - more than happy for some group shots if you wish. 2 hours is more than enough. More time can be bought

Post production

We tend to use 2 cameras and take ‘way more’ photos than we need for safety, we then back up all the photos to 2 separate drives and the cloud.

Grading and export to full size high resolution jpegs which we then send to you on a download link to do with as you choose.

Most families are not in a rush for photos but depending on our workload we try within 2 weeks. Can be sooner if our diary is lighter but we don’t like to rush something thats so personal to you and creative for us. We must make them the best we can do. These photos are forever.

Try not to be guided too much on price, I have heard some real bad stories on cheaper (and believe it or not, not so cheap) photographers as often they sub ‘others’ in if they are busy. With Funeral AV you get us Darren Vallence or Darren Giles or both. If we are already booked, we will tell you not find somebody else to cover for greed.
